Things to do in Ogunquit, Maine.
Marginal Way, the Playhouse, and a three-mile sand beach.
The three-mile Ogunquit Beach (barrier sand with the Ogunquit River behind it), Footbridge Beach, the Marginal Way cliff walk to Perkins Cove, and trolley access along the whole village. Kayaking the Ogunquit River is a summer staple.
Ogunquit means "beautiful place by the sea" — and it earns it. A three-mile barrier-beach, the Marginal Way cliff walk to Perkins Cove, the Ogunquit Playhouse, the Ogunquit Museum of American Art, and a walkable downtown of galleries, oyster bars, and inns. Small in size, enormous in personality.
